Work in Canada
In most cases, jobs require a positive LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) to work in Canada. Employers must obtain a positive LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) from ESDC (Employment and Social Development Canada), which gives them permission to recruit foreign skilled workers for occupations that cannot be filled in by citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Candidates who qualify to apply for a work permit must also convince the visa officer that they intend to leave once their work authorization expires. Applicants may be required to undergo a medical examination and submit a police certificate. Some applicants may qualify for LMIA Exempt Work Permits and Open Work Permits. Speak with us about working in Canada.
